Louis Dare
Innovation and E-Learning Manager
What I do at Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion
I joined Coleg Sir Gar in 2004 and have thoroughly enjoyed 19 years of which have included a wide range of roles and responsibilities. My passion is employability and the impact this has on our local community. In my current role of Innovation and eLearning Manager I’m responsible for a number of projects and contracts which support adult learners back into work, or support adult learners progress within their current careers.
In addition to my role as Innovation and eLearning Manager I am also a member of the college’s board of governors and am proud to be a trustee of the organisation, which is a registered charity.
Why Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion
Since I joined the college, I have been exposed to a number of fantastic roles which have taken me from an IT Tutor, who supported adult learners first use a computer, to where I am today. I have been fully supported to develop myself and was fortunate to complete an MA in Education around my day to day role.
I’ve been fully supported in driving my passions by taking the college into a number of new areas of education to secure new projects and contracts within employability and adult learning. Such support and trust underpins the culture at Coleg Sir Gar and Coleg Ceredigion.
Who am I?
As mentioned I am very passionate about developing the workforce of our local community. Outside of work, my interests include supporting local tourism, which in turn feeds back into job creation and development. Within the college I am always looking to expand and develop new initiatives which support the local labour market and economy and so if you are looking for an exciting role in a diverse department I’d love to hear from you.
